IRIEDAILY FALL/WINTER 2019 COLLECTION
Getting old isn’t an achievement, really. Time passes. Everything ages. It’s just natural. Well, as long as you understand time as being this linear thing, right. It’s also quite natural to join in the platitude that time just passes faster and faster the older one gets, even though it’s not true at all. As a matter of fact the ability of sensing time flying by is completely detached from age - it is so much more connected to being actually aware of the concept of time (passing). In turn, the concept of time passing is very strongly attached to change, and change on the other hand primary to progress, which in return allows you to figure out the balance between knowing who you are and being who you are. Welcome to twenty five years of Iriedaily - welcome to our latest offering for the forthcoming cold season.
This time around we took the liberty of dividing our extensive collection into various equal subjects, which ensures an elaborate and highly flexible modularity framework for you to assemble just the right style. The “Urban Nomad“ topic for example, is flirting with the many textures and possibilities of outdoor-culture while transferring these into an urban environment. This section introduces IRIEDAILY’s trademark colour-blocking via a new mixture of materials, graphic patterns, ethno influences and stylized alpine motives. Another theme is going by the name of “Master of the Mix“, which offers significant additions to the urban “anything goes“ vibe of now - a consciously created mismatch that combines rather rigorous elements of fashion with the laid-back and sporty components of streetwear.
Every once in a blue moon you get introduced to something you instantly fall in love with, by chance you stumble into something that immediately seem to work for you. Well, that’s at least how things felt for us back then. Even better yet, that’s actually how we still feel about the whole thing at this very moment. We blinked, and here we are a quarter of a century later - still fighting preconceptions about streetwear from Berlin, still feeling very fortunate being able to share the results with you.
